Wheels and Speedometer
SO convinced my parents that I must get new tires and therefore it would be a good time to get new wheels too. My dad is telling me that my speedometer will not display the right speed if i get a bigger wheel. And you know these dumb old people expect me to keep the same 13" size rims. So what do i do about the speedometer since im going to 16 or 17"??? thanks for any help.

in all honesty, it will not affect your speedo. I used to have a 98 ex, it had stock 14s i was a bit younger so I got 17" rims. the speedo was fine. I recommend a 16" rim, its a great size.

If it will let you in, here's a link to Team-Integra'a tire calculator.
http://www.team-integra.net/se...s.asp
It calculates the difference in speed with tire sizes.

Re: Wheels and Speedometer (BlueIntegraBoy)
ok guys, here is the real deal.
1. go 15" or 16", 17" too big
2. it wont effect your speedo and here is why:
When going to larger sized wheels, the engine requires more torque to push to a certain speed. though the engine rpm is the same w/ the gear ratio, the engine is pushing harder to get it to do so, so it is essentially leveling out any gain in "speed" the wheels will get you. the only way you will see a difference is if you have like 17" on ur front and 13" on ur back, but that would be gay....just real gay
