Default Turbo XS dual stage boost controller help

I have a dual stage boost controller. But if I don't wire up the wires to the in cabin switch that switch between high and low, it would act like a single stage boost controller, right?

it sure would. The wires are just to power the soleniod for the second stage. Why would u spend and extra $100+ for a dual-stage just to use it as a singe??

bit the bullet and made the long distance call. Good thing I took dax's advice and called because I had it set up backwards. Blue nipple goes to the side port of the wastegate and brass nipple goes to the Vac. manifold

That does't sound right...I had the Dual Stage before...the brass (bottom nipple) goes to the wastegate and the blue (side nipple) goes to a pressure source.

I have te same controller and i didnt hook the switch up yet. I just needed the single stage for now. And it works fine.

i think the port from the WG goes to the side port and the vac source goes to the bottom. I gotta check quick

does this help?

4/ Remove the pressure hose fitted to the waste gate actuator and insert it over the silver colored nipple of the boost controller. Note the inlet direction arrow on the boost controller. Use the pre-existing hose clamp to secure the hose onto the boost controller.

5/ Take the extension hose and fit it onto the blue colored nipple. Fit the other end to the waste gate actuator. Use the supplied hose clamp to secure the hose onto the nipples.

Note : Installing the TurboXS D ual Stage Boost Controller backwards will prevent the valve from performing properly. Ensure the arrow stamped on the boost controller is in the same direction as the inlet supply pressure from the turbo.

Just look at the nipple's. The nipple w/ a large hole(blue) is the inlet and the nipple w/ a small hole(brass) is the outlet. The inlet get's vacum from manifold and the spring regulates how much is sent out the outlet to the wastegate. If the small hole is used as the inlet than nothing will get in, and nothing will get to the wastegate.

well I drove the car and it had 20 vac and gauge never read boost. thought it was the gauge so I checked all the lines but the gauge was right. The BC was backwards and that was the problem. so for the record....... Blue nipple goes to side port of the WG and the brass nipple goes to the vac source.
