could any damage occur?
well i was changing out a buddy's distributor and he thought i was done and attempted to start the car with no distributor on, obviously it didnt start but could any damgae occured to the car/motor?
no damage will occur. the engine has no spark and cant even run. the only damage you could do is if you crank it constantly and alot the starter and battery will wear extra. also no oil starvation would be a problem, but if you are only cranking it a few times...no big deal..actually a trick for when you install a new engine is pulling the coil wire and cranking the engine to help pre-lube the engine it before its initial startup.

Wurd, it won't do any harm because its just not sending any spark. Just don't do it again
