Default ///// Calling all MOTOR GURUS//////

okay here it is guys i chated with my friend and explained to him that there is no way you will see 12s in this set-up in an EK now this is for the people who have similar set-ups and have done it in an EK. NOT EG-ef- but in an EK

skunk2 stage2 cams, hondata and i/h/e clutch and flywheel)..and if i add CTR piston's standard bore and a Nice Stage2 head port and polish would i see hit 12's with slicks elevation is 2000 feet above sea level

here is what i told him what to do sleeve the block eagle rods, aeries pistons comp12.5,knife edge crank,so basicly i told him to go 2.0 now which would you do or have do and seen 12s in an EK hatch

then he told me that his buddy did a 12.8 in a bone stock gutted eg with an itr motor which i also called bullshit on so you guys help this man out

to see 12's with slicks in an all motor setup in a hatch you need to be making serious power. probably 220+ at 2000ft. It all depends on tuning, but I dont think there is any way with I/H/E on an ITR motor than you will ever see 12's even at sea level. Youll lose a few tenths at 2000ft of elevation, probably 1/2 of a second IMO

u should go into the drag racing section to ask a question like this.

im fairly educated about n/a motors, but i really dont have too much comprehensive knowledge regarding hp/weight/height ratios and how they effect 1/4 mile times.

shrug

an itr with those mod will run lower than a low 14 with slicks in a ek... unless alot of people can't drive......i have a friend with a itr in a ek with i/h/e tuned with a vafc making around 180 and he runs 13.8-13.9 on street tires in a ek.... in a eg u only need around 200whp to run 12's i've sen it done many times on slicks ......my buddie has a eg that made 144 onthe motor and he had a 65 shot on it which woudl be around 200 and he ran a 12.71 on 22" slicks..... this is with a really good driver also.......

With the first setup u listed 12's my be possible with slicks , if tuned properly , i dunno how much ur elevation is gonna affect that, and it also depends on how much crap he has in his car weights. my stock ek is 2300

is it possible to hit 13.5 with a b16 block, b16 head, skunk stage 3s, upgraded valvetrain, CTR pistons, mugen head gasket, flat valves ( aproximatly 12.2:1 CR), CAI, 2.5" exhaust, JDM 4-1 header 2.5", carsound cat, with lightwieght flywheel and CM stage 2 clutch, chipped p28...all in a EM1 full interior?

I have personally watched a 99 civic ex coupe with a stock C5 with Hondata s100, open header on slicks run consistent 13.5's(no weight removal). My homeboy with a stock sir2 swap in his dx eg hatch, with lsd, ran 14.1's on shitty street tires.....but he can really drive.

The lower the elevation the more oxegyn you have in the air. I live at sea level, so I can get away with allot of compression and timing
