I'm almost finished with my project and I need recommendations on a GREAT suspension system for my integra (dc2)... Please post your opinions WITH REASONS, please don't just post: Tein. (and no reason or comments after)

My suggestions:

Pick:
Tein Flex or
Jic Magic FLTA-2

Traction bar
22mm USDM ITR sway bare w/BSQ or BEAKS kit
Roll bar or Roll cage
3-point front upper strut bar
Upgrade suspension bushings (polyurethane)
Upgrade motor mount bushings (polyurethane)

That's all that I can think of for now

if you just built a "500hp" teg, you should need no help in suspension cuz obviously you have a pretty good idea how to mod a car..

it takes more research to build a "500hp" teg then it does to pick a suspension for your car. so be a big boy and go out and research..

you need to give us more then.. "i want a suspension for my car.." give us a budget.. a goal, prefrence, etc.

cuz i can give you a suspension that is softer then a babys ***.. or hard enough to give you back problems and make your turbo setup fall apart by itself

in my opinion, you modify suspension to make the car more balanced and in turn, the car will handle better. With 500hp, your car's gonna be anything but balaced.

With 500hp you have one thing in mind - drag racing. If that's the case, I suggest you seek help in the drag racing forum. You might find doing a search helpful too.

 

check out last months Import Tuner, they did a story on 550 whp integra, full build sheet, the car aparently was for sale here in the classifides (? doesnt look spelled right)

NO, infact my suspension is pretty decent....

Much better than yours "Tein S.Tech springs - Tokico Illumina struts - Progress camber kit - 16" Enkei OR52's Anthracite, Kumho Supra 712 205/45/16".

vs. mine:

I have Tein-HA for the DC2R so I'm using Hype-R rear LCA's, Skunk2 front Camber Kit, washer trick for the back, 22mm USDM ITR Sway w/BSQ kit, front and rear Strut bars, 16" Volk LE37-T wrapped in 205/45/16 Yokohama AVS ES100's.


P.S: with the power I'm making, I can even take on your stock STI

 

i run APEXI' N1 fully adjustable coilovers. Aok in my book. why u ask? cuz thats what was available to me. unfortunately funding this solely on my own, i'm stuck with parts that fit my budget

I already have a good idea of what to get, I just don't want to go out and get it before I hear some more opinions so i can research them... as far as a budget $3000.

 

I'm assuming you want suspension for drag?
you'll probably want custom rates. There is a local all-motor drag integra here that runs 11.8 and they are running custom rates. I think it had 20K rear and 18K front on H&R coilovers.

the DA is a daily driver.. so dont even compair your build DC to my daily driven beater DA.. and look at how much you had to do to your DC to come close to beating my STOCK STi.. let me invest the amount of money into my STi as you did into making your DC the way it is now.. and we'll see who's beating who

You do realize you are in the AWD Class correct? LoL so yes lets not compair...

 

First, if you haven't picked a tire yet, that should determine your setup. You will need a sticky tire for all that power. I'd go with a Toyo RA1, but plan on going thru tires quickly if it'll be daily driven.

Replace all the bushings with Energy Suspension stuff or Prothane.

Traction bar

Koni shocks

Ground Control coilover sleeves

alignment kit

sway bars, front and rear, and get a rear with some kind of reinforcement kit.

3-point front strut brace

And hopefully you have an LSD tranny already.

exactly what im sayin.. compair a srt4 to a teg.. not an sti to a teg.. you know what i mean.. if i wanted drag racing power, i would of went rwd.. but im a big subaru fan.. love there cars. thats why i bought her. not to sit here and brag about her stats.. i know she can be beaten by a **** load of teggers and other honda/acuras on this site, but that really doesnt bother me none
