how do you reset the piston to top dead center if the timing is really off PLEASE I NEED HELP

Default how do you reset the piston to top dead center if the timing is really off PLEASE I NEED HELP

someone told me to reset the piston to top dead center beacause my timing was really off. does anybody know how to do that, and is it hard to do.

as said above,the best thing you can do is buy a good shop manual.if you don't know how to do what you're asking about,you may be getting in over your head if you don't have a manual.
to set the #1 piston to TDC,there is a mark on the timing belt cog,and a corresponding mark on the oil pump to match it to.with the crank pulley on,there is a white mark on the crank pulley and a corresponding pointer on the timing belt cover.
