any one know if a 2000 itr cat-back bolt on to a 96 GSR?

 

i think it will but im not to sure becuase of 94-97 rule

 

i think the itr may be longer for the 00 to fit in the 95 gsr

 

It wont fit without modification.

 

From my research on this board--because I've also been thinking about going with an ITR cat-back on my GS-R. . . .

JDM ITR exhaust = '94-'99 GS-R
USDM ITR exhaust = 2000-2001 GS-R

The flange holes will have to be enlarged on the JDM version to bolt to the cat, though.

 

You'll need to extend the B-pipe about 6 inches to reach your cat.

Well if you're gonna get the exhaust, i would suggest waiting until you upgrade the header before paying for any type of exhaust work done. Trust me, you'll save $$ in the long run.

Maybe you should modify your A-pipe (or add a spool-piece) & leave your cat & cat-back stuff alone. That way later you can get a header for a 2000 ITR so it matches the rest of your exhaust.
