i got a 91 dx shell and 2 motors lying around a d16a1 from a 89 teg, and a d16z6 from a 95 si. i need to know which is easier to swap in and get it running quick. also some tips for swapping either in would be great. its my first swap so i need all the help i can get. thanks in advance

 

a1 woulnt even bolt it, so im assuming the next logical choice would be the z6. and before you start making posts about wiring, and what ecu, and all that happy bullshit.

Buy an obd0-obd1 conversion harness, buy a p28 ecu and wire it up correctly.

 

You would be better off with the Z6, as the a1 only has something like 100hp?

And ya a1 doesnt even bolt.

thats the cheapest, or get it from Blown90hatch on here. preferably get it from him. Its like 116 shipped or something

 

also are there any websites that has a step by step of the wiring. thanks for all the help guys
