Default New clutch for used transmission?

hey guys, i just bought a used transmission and i picked it up today, looked like it was in great shape... My old transmissions bearings was worn out and i got a Si manual transmission this time(heard has better accel) anyway, didnt come with clutch or anything, So im just wondering, could i get a new clutch and take the old flywheel from my old one or is that going to be a bad combination?? And i have a d-series motor... it has 101,000 miles on it, and im just wondering when i buy a NEW CLUTCH, do i need a new FLYWHEEL?? and My friend told me to get a Stage 2 clutch..?? thanx

If you have the extra $$ to upgrade to a lighter flywheel, go right ahead and do it.

If not, you MUST get your flywheel resurfaced at least when you install your new clutch. You don't want to have problems down the road because you cheaped out on a resurface. Shouldn't cost you too much.

But what type of modifications do you have to your engine? If your engine is BONE stock and it'll stay that way for quite a while, just get an OEM-spec Exedy clutch. If it is worked and you are planning on increasing the power by AT LEAST 50%, then get an upgraded clutch/flywheel.

From what it seems, you're probably only going to get intake/header/exhaust and keep it that way for a while.

http://www.clutchcityonline.com has good prices on flywheels and clutches, upgraded and stock.
