Removing 96-98 EK Center Panel (Climate Control)
Im trying to remove my center panel, the one that goes around the radio and climate control unit, and am having a little trouble trying to get it off. I've removed all the lower panels (12v panel, cup holder panel) and took off the two screws on right beneath the climate control unit. I know there are clips holding the center panel in but its pretty hard to pull it since you can probably only fix a screwdriver in there and pry it off. Any tips on removing this piece and also those ***** for the climate control would be very helpful. TIA

**Also I remember seeing a write up of swapping the 96-98 center panel to a 99-00 if anyone has a link to that I might try doing that too**
THANKS!

i believe there are screws behind the hazard and the other one cross from it..u can pop them out with a flat head..also there is a line that goes from the climate control to the condenser...if u look underneath it on the passanger side u should see it...

if you had a chance to look at them they are visually different. I believe the ac controls on a 96-98 is mechanical and 99-00 is electrical.
But they are not interchangable without certain pieces and it requires extensive labor.
