Minor mistake with an oil change.
Ok
So last weekend I was doing an oil change on my Integra and I made a mistake by accidentally poured 10w-30 oil into my car and the manufactor's recommended oil is 5w-30. When I was driving I notice a difference in its performance ex. poor gas mileage and it seems like it doesnt accelerate as well. Well i just bought some 5w-30 oil today and plan to change it again this weekend. Now here's the question should I drain out the 10w-30 and clean the engine? Is there a formula to clean the engine with? Or should I just drain the 10w-30 and put in the new 5w-30 oil and thats it? Thanks.

You will not be able to tell the difference in the two of them. leave it in till it needs changing again and go with 5w-30 if thats what youwant to use or normally use. Personally when i had my JDM Si (GSR) i always used 5w-40...everyone has different preferences.
now that my crap is burning oil like crazy, I always use 10w-30. Not that big a deal and once it warms up its should be the same as 5w-30 since they both go to 30. Now I've rolled with 50w, damn that was sluggish!
Yeah man you're alright. Heres' what those numbers mean:
The first number is the oil's viscosity rating at WINTER temperatures, hence the W in 5W-30. Don't let anyone tells you the W stands for weight, because it doesn't. A lower first number is better for start up under colder ambient temperatures, as the cold temperatures tend to make things flow like "molassas in January."
The second number is the oil's viscosity rating at operating temperature. Note that it's still 30. So at operating temperature, the oil properties should be identicle.
And don't forget the Honda service bulletin that reads: Just say no to engine additives!
Long story short: Your car's fine, it's all in your head!
