when im just cruisen im mid rpm or accerating it pops and stutters and all that good **** but when i mash it its fine it needs an o2 sensor and i just put a new distributor on it im thinking it could be needing new plugs an wires if you have any clue just post it up im needing to get this figured out.

 

Well. if you know it needs an O2 sensor id start there. You may also need to check your timing to make sure its correct since you put a new distributor on (if not already done). A good tune up ( plugs, wires, fuel filter etc. ) wouldnt hurt either it would only help out.

 

why ask questions when you KNOW you have a bad sensor-especially one that exhibits the exact symptom you described when bad?!
fix it,then see what happens.

I had a similar prob a bit back, and changing my fuel filter fixed it. Try that if your o2 doesn't fix it.

 

o2 sensor was the back one it wouldnt hurt anything. distrbutor had a crack in it replaced it still did it. new cap and rotor still plugs and wires did the trick.
