help with wiring reverse lights
Probably the backup lights in the auto were switched at the gearshift lever. In the manual, the switch is at the tranny. You gotta run wires from the console out to the tranny. Got a wiring drawing?

Yes that is correct, auto's reverse light switch was at the shifter. The manual's reverse light switch is, I believe, on the front of the tranny bellhousing. Do you have it on yours?
Yup, the above two guys are correct. Do you have the harness that plugs into the reverse switch on the bellhousing? When the tranny shifts into reverse, it pushes on a "button" that lets the sensor on the harness know that it's in reverse. Then the necessary wiring will let the lights turn on.
You will probably need a wiring diagram.
