Back up lights

Back up lights
I just finshed my motor swap in my 93 EG and I did an auto to 5 speed swap also but now I can get my back up lights to come on at all. Has anyone had this problem? I can think of where to start to fix it. The fuse is fine the bulbs are also fine I didnt trace the wire yet but that is all that I can think to do.

It's either the switch or the wiring. There's a switch which detects when your tranny goes into R and therefore puts power to your rev lights, so if the switch is bad then they won't work OR obviously if it isn't wired right or there is a short (unlikely if your fuses are OK) then that would cause it to happen. Don't know what else to tell you to help man.

There is a plug on your tranny that has 2 green wires going to it, I believe that you have to run those 2 green wires to the wiring that went to your auto gear shifter when it is in the reverse position. That should work, I have done this before but it has been a couple of years.
