Which cam would you guys prefer based on experience slash info, nothing to big but i want something decently priced and easily tunable.Crower stage-2??? Any opinions would help me out guys....Thanks..
Crower 2
I use to run that cam, and it was great for a street application. It makes power all the way past 7500 rpms, and it was very streetable.
In fact, I ran completely stock head and valvetrain, and it ran 13.39 with no problems.

I would like to know as well.

I just installed the Delta 272 in my A6. Butt dyno isn't very accurate, but it seems to have more pull from 5500 rpms and keeps pulling all the way to stock fuel cut @ 7200RPMs.
Not bad for $85

just went to local speed shop They said the zex cam sucked. But then again i heard it was alright. But from what i heard the crowler is the best. Where can you find crowler stuff cheap.
Which shop did you go to? FTR?
The ZEX cam is a good cam.
PM me with what you have done to your engine and what you want out of it. I carry Crower and can also have Rocket make a custom cam.

No offense to RR since they do quality stuff, but they don't know jack about the D series compared to me. Also, just because they don't carry it, doesn't mean it is crap, Rocket Motorsports for instance (I'm Tennessee's only dealer). Jared runs Rocket Motorsports cams in his CRX.
BTW, I believe RR carries Crane cams...

wow my friend if you are going solely on a shops opinion without doin any research then you ve got problems. in all actuality the zex cam specs are more aggressive than the crower stage two, but the ability to make power i dunno. i ve seen a couple guys in the 140s-150s range and most of them lacked compression which i would think would help this cam out. if aquafina can hook up with a vtec regrind that would be pretty sweet, but i thought rocket was doin only non vtec grinds. i m not a dealer and he is so i m not arguing. i m debating on building a monster D, but i m pretty sure i m gonna need a blank for my grind if bisi will help with the design haha.
We (Rocket Motorsports) offer regrinds for both VTEC and nonVTEC. We also offer new cams for both VTEC and nonVTEC. Cams for the D series are custom spec so we tailor them as best we can to your engine. They'll cost a little more than Crowers, but you can't beat a cam made for your specific setup versus a shelf cam. Rocket himself designs each cam.
no i didn't mean it that way. It was a smartass remark. I don't base my build on what a performance shop tells me. I was just making a comment on what the guy told me at the shop. I pesonally would like a zex cam. I hear their made by crowler or comp or something like that. And everyone i've talked with says they are good cams.
