Default Dh-racing engines

I am considering buying a dh-racing engine. this is what they are offering. i dont really want a stroker since i plan on wraping this thing up to about 8500 RPM. My plan is for a street strip car that makes roughly 200whp and then spray on top of it. I realise spray is FI but this car will spend 98% of its life on motor thus i'm posting here.

If you send me your complete GSR longblock I will give you $500 off of
the
following:

2.1 Liter LS/Vtec
95mm Stroker Crankshaft
Most likely 84 or 85mm bore
Iron Ductile Sleeves
Dh-Spec Forged Pistons
Dh-Spec I-Beam Rods
Dh-Spec Racing Bearings

Race Ported B16 Head
Dual Springs
Upgraded Retainers
High Flow Valves
Diamond Milling
Performance Valve Job
Professional Line Hone

I recommend our Dh-Spec Cams to allow the head to work better with your
ITB
setup. This motor is basically the same as what I run in my personal
CRX.
Dave built me a killer all motor LS and minus Vtec it would be the same
as
what you are asking for. Our standard promotional price we have been
offering for our stroker motors is $5500 for the block and head fully
built.
Give me a call if you like 661-547-1508 and we can work this out, and
get it
going. Remember you have a $500 credit if you send your GSR longblock
in.
Thanks again for your interest, and look forward to building this motor
for
you.

$5500 seems a bit high for what i was wanting. The quote is for a stroker however and i can see that adding a grand to the price (i guess). Does this seem resonable or is this a bit high.

search DHracing, Dave Hickman, Dh-racing, etc in the archives. they are crooks, take your money elsewhere. dont expect to see that motor for over a year!!

I did a search and it looked like about a 50/50 split on who liked him and didnt? One guy flat out called hima a piece of **** which is a little unnerving. I'll search around more on other sites and see what i come up with. Anyone else have experience with this shop?

I'd be looking for better odds than 50/50.There are to many great shops out there to take those odds.
