i just purchased a venom vcn 1000 computerized nitrous kit. i have a bone stock besides i/h/e gsr with 170k on the clock(runs great, compression is spec all the way across) my question is beisdes colder plugs what else should i do to make sure i dont blow up my daily driver? i was gonna run a 50 shot or slightly smaller just to be on the safe side. anyone have any expirences with this particluar nitrous? i got it for its safety features. i wanted t know if anyone used this and what they thought about it. i got it at a killer deal of 300 bucks shipped and the kit was unused! here is the link http://store.yahoo.com/dpstore/venvccomnits.html
let me know what you guys think. thanks

I second that, but since you have the venom kit and are going to have colder spark plugs the only other thing I can suggest is to just run premium gas.

i read its the safest one on the market since it wont let you run lean and BOOM. which i liked. is the computer allready tuned or do you have to **** with it to get it to be setup correctly? im gonna call venom tomorrow.
I used to have the VCN 2000 kit. I was not happy with it. A fe things where if u wanted to race you have to wait for the "system to arm and do selfcheck" and if u want to up the shot u haeve to use a computer. I sold it and switched to direct port few years ago and never looked back

well im not really worried about the shot since im not gonna run more than a 50 so its gonna be steady at that shot for a while. i would rather be safe and drive home rather than call for a tow if i dont have to

There is no real bulletproof way to save your motor from blowing up. You can have all these safety things installed. Once you miss shift, say goodnight. Nitrous is very unforgiving when you miss shift. 37% of all blown nitrous motors are from miss shifting which cause the car to over rev. KABOOM

vcn kits are an over just an over priced zex kit with a fancy digital fuel pressure switch/"computer"
colder plugs, premium fuel, and if you really want peace of mind (even though such a small shot) a degree of ignition timing retard.

Cut off the spark and the fuel cant go BOOOM
Anyways, you picked the wrong kit to run a 50shot</TD></TR></TABLE>
Cutting off spark and fuel do to rev limiter. The nos is still spraying.
