Default SOHC ZC VTEC info needed plz, asap!

Hi,
so i'm about to purchase another sohc vtec motor.

I have a chance to get a ZC sohc vtec, which i've been told is rated at 140hp,
and is a 1.6L

my last motor was a d15b vtec, which I can also get,
its 130hp (actually i think both ratings are ps).

NOW you may wonder why I would even consider the 1.5 over the 1.6,
well the d15b actually has a really nice rod/stroke ratio, so it revs very freely,
I run a 8k rpm rev limit, so I don't want any problems reving that high(i wont go higher on the stock head/block though).

Also parts wise, I know didly about the ZC,
the longblock will be bare most likely, so i'll need to get things like water pump, thermo, timing belt, etc...

Can you guys plz give me info on the SOHC ZC VTEC 1.6L ?

I'll need to know things like what kind of head it has,
what kind of block, r/s ratio, etc etc.

ALSO from what I know, the d15b has a really great cam in it,
how is the cam in the ZC ?
would swapping the d15b cam into the zc be a good mod? Cuz I do have a busted d15b lying around now..

Thanks in advance.

you can use all d16z6 parts as far as water pump t-belt etc. my long block came with evrything but the alternator and belt though. the cam in the zc feels larger than my d15b it pulls very hard in vtec all the way to rev limit. what happened to your d15b?

search owns just about everyone in this thread. THERE IS ALREADY A THREAD ABOUT THIS!

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1087149

I was the one who started it. We've found that the only difference between a D16Z6 and a JDM SOHC ZC (yes they made one VTEC) is the the ZC has a more aggressive camshaft. Everything else is identical, including timing belt, water pump, etc, etc, etc........

Your search for SOHC ZC returned 4 results.

Your search for SOHC vs D16z6 returned 28 results.

sohc zc turns up 120 results for SOHC and warns that the word "zc" was not searched for because the search engine can only search for 3letters or more

and that was recent topics.. archived = 900

about the revlimit, I havea chiipped/socketed ecu.

8k is about as high as you can go safely on a sohc.

if it's exactly like the z6, except for the cam,
then i'm happy with my d15b.
I like the crazy smooth revving of it.

wouldn't mind that down low torque of the 1.6 though.. if only there was a 1.6 sohc motor with the d15b's rod/stroke ratio..
