Dart B20 Block
It seems that Dart only sells a block for the B18 and B20.
I tried a search but couldn't find anything on anyone here using a B20 block in their accord. At $1949 just for the block I know this is really expensive but I think its worth the money if building a maximum hp block. Anyone know of a kit necessary to install this in a 90 accord?

Woah there buddy, neither a B18 or a B20 are a Civic motor, and that Dart block has things that no rebuilt Honda engine could have (integrated decking, enlarged internal passages, and heavy duty main bearings. Not to mention boring it out and stroking will give you a 2.2L or so that would more than outpower an F22, not to mention the awsome aftermarket potential and expanded transmission choices.
The hard part will be actually putting the engine in the car (mounts, geometry, CV joints) and for that reason I wouldn't attempt it. You would get more power realibly, easier, and cheaper with a lightly turboed H22 (or H23 if you want to save some money, even an <newer> F22/23 would work).
But for maximum power that Dart block is pretty damn stout. There are poeple running them, but from what I've heard they are banned in any official drag races.

You know what would really rule?

You can mount a B20 into a 3rd gen accord, which would rule.
Total sleeper, esp with a good built block
weigh a lot less too!

Yeah, I know which vehicles those motors originated in (Teg, CRV) but there are a million civics with them now
. My point was that although the Dart block is an awesome piece, cost and swap complications make it very impractical for this particular car. Especially considering how easy it is to obtain a built H22 that swaps in efficiently

Was this the one with a motorcycle engine and a chain for the driveshaft?

You're saying it would be hard to swap in a dart block? wouldnt it just be like swapping in a normal b18 or b20?

A dart block is JUST like a b18 or b20. The thing is, they werent meant to power an accord! An accord needs a LOT of torque 90-up and a B series wont cut it. However there are motor mount kits etc for 3rd gen Accords (86-89 i believe)
check out http://www.3geez.com they have all the info on the mounts and the swap...
