can one use a walbro as an inline pump.

is it ok to use a walbro as an inline pump??
Just like the topic says.. Will it work to use a walbro 255 lph HP pump mounted higher than the fueltank on the fuel line??. or will it only work in tank. Maybe have the stock fuel pump to feed the walbro pump. A friend of mine is asking me about this for his turbo converted bmw..
If it won´t work please help me out to pick a god inline pump for 450-500 HP

I too have a Walbro 255lph, and from the looks of it I'm not sure you can use it as an inline pump because of the short plastic connection on the bottom. Remember that the only means of filtration is the external filter that is provided.

I think it can only be safe to use as an internal pump because the gas in the tank cools the pump down.
Why not try a NOS external inline pump? If that's not enough fuel, a Paxton or SX external would do.
