Location of Radiator fan switch?
I you mean the relay, its probably under the bumper. It was on my 96 LS. There's a bolt holding a relay bracket on the drivers side bumper. It hangs inbetween the bumper and the radiator support.
I believe theres a Radiator fan switch as well. The Radiator fan switch tells the relay to turn on the fan if i'm correct.
The reason i'd like to find the location because my fan don't go on until it reaches
3\4 of the guage. It might be a faulty radiator fan switch.

In the thermostat housing (lower radiator hose @ the engine). It's got a 2-wire plug. It's #14. If you unplug it & jumper the wires with a paperclip your fan should run (key on).

(Don't forget it could also be an inaccurate temperature gauge.)

uhmm interesting.. So #14 is the Radiator fan switch?
Man.. I should of switched it while i was changeing my T Stat. Now my radiator again...
I'm not sure if its a faulty guage. Its always consistent.. Goes to 1\2 when the engine is fully warmed up. then goes 3\4 and then the fan turns on..

Mine usually sits at about 1/3 with the engine warmed up. Then the fan comes on at about 1/2 or a little above. It kinda sounds like your gauge simply reads a little high. #13 is the sender for the gauge.
I think the gauge is pretty repeatable, but not very accurate when you compare one car against another. Still, you can stick the fan switch in a pot of hot water with a thermometer & see when it closes.

In almost the same way, you can check the gauge sender. The Helm repair book says what resistance you should measure at a few different temperatures.
I don't like just buying parts - I'd rather test stuff to see which parts are bad. Maybe if either one (or both) of those are pretty cheap, then go ahead...

wtf? you realize that at normal operating temperature, the needle should be just under 1/2, right? it shouldnt go all the way to H. 3/4 i would call overheating.
