Default Removing intake mani gasket CLEANLY ???

OK, i'm going to have to pull the IM off my next motor..

now I do NOT want to have to go through scraping that gasket again!!!
it makes such a mess, takes for ever, and is kinda scary(dont wana scratch the surface). Plus the gasket remover spray leaves wierd residue allover everything...

So is there anything I can do to keep that gasket from leaving half of itself on
the head?? Like heating it up.. or cooling it down.. or SOMETHING !?!

lmk
thanks.

Spray WD-40 on the gasket before installation. Next time you pull the manifold off, the gasket comes off easy and you can re-use </TD></TR></TABLE>

gasket scrapper

To help prevent it sticking next time, you can coat the gasket just around the intake ports with white lythium grease.

you gotta becareful when using regular sanding pads on that, the aluniminm is easy to **** up.

what i suggest you do is use a sharp razor and scrape it, if your careful you wont scratch the surface at all
