Default exedy or tilton?

alright im looking at either the exedy or tilton twin disc clutch setups.
i cant afford the gangsta 3300 dollar tilton, but i can afford the 1400 dollar one.

i know each company makes different variations of their twin disc setups, but i want to know from you guys which one works better. thanks

if you can give me any real world info, on these clutches it would be great, ex. hp, tq, install tricks or tips, daiily driving, dragging, longevity. etc.

Both of the cluthes u listed are good. I would go with tilton...Single or Twin disc would depend on your setup/power/etc

You probably dont need anything that aggressive unless you have some killer horse power. A clutch that aggressive will cause more problems than good, not to mention being a bitch to drive. I would suggest the Exedy because I think it has a sprung hub, whereas I dont think the Tilton is. The reason I suggest a sprung hub or a little lighter clutch is because of the shock to the drive train. The other thing to think about is that you can put that money into some other parts to make your car faster.

like everyone is saying, you really don't need a tilton if your not producing enormous amounts of power

you should try the 1500 tilton setup first, if that fails upgrade to the more expensive carbon carbon setup

Both are expensive as hell over 1000, I think you could get an exedy hyper single wich holds like 500 hp for around 900. coximports.com just a suggestion but clutch masters has a twinplate now too, maybe worth looking into if it goes for less than exedy and tilton.

The Exedy Twin Disc is amazing. When we build race engines that plan on making over 500+HP we always recommend the Exedy Twin Disc.
at 500+HP, basic dual diaphragm puck style $400-500 clutch kits are not going to hold. We've used plenty during the years and you just cant rely on them. They will break once you get in the 600hp range and youre not even sure if it will hold the power..
With the Exedy, you know it will hold and it lasts long too.

Exedy is our #1 choice for the price and performance.
Let me know if you're interested in one. we carry the Exedy Twin Discs.

if i were spending that kind of money on a clutch, it would definitly have to be kevlar disk. if it wears out, all you have to do is sandblast it.
