Swapping to JDM EG Gauge differences...
I'm thinking of swapping my EX gauge (Canadian Si) to a JDM EG one. I know that I'll lose the SRS and Cruise Control light...is there any other differences between the gauges and dummy lights? Anyone out there do the swap and think it wasn't worth it?
Thanks.

i did this swap in my 92 cx mainly becasue i had no tach. i like the white faces and im pretty good with converting kilometers to miles per hour now. but i think eveything is just about the same and when it comes to the srs and cc light u can easily swap them over from your old cluster to the jdm one. there are few write ups about how to do it hee on H-T. i swapped the srs light over because i had heard some rumors about the aibag not working without the light being plugged in. dont know if its true but i feel better about seeing the light come on and off at start up.

Before I done my cluster swap, I talked to a guy who had done the swap and he said he knew from first-hand experience that the airbag would come out.

i LOVE my vti cluster........looks O SO OEM but its soooo not. muahaha. its a good swap......ppl say its too dark\dim but i think its ok. but my only thing is my fuel guage is sayin half tank wen its full, and goes down to empty and stays there, so i still have a half tank left. im thinking about openin it up, driving to the gas station and then movin the needle, or takin it off then puttin it back on at the full level, is that a good idea??

sounds like a great place to wire the VTEC feed to, so you know its always activated. (speaking from a guy with a VX hatch and turbo and still can't hear VTEC)
