Default b16 into a 98 ex...obd1 or obd motor?

I am going to be swapping in a b16 into my 98 ex. I have seen that obd1 motors are significantly cheaper and from what i understand all i will need is the conversion harness for my car harness to the ecu. i am assuming that the motor obd1 harness will plug directly into my car obd 2 harness with no wiring mods?? or am i better off running an obd2 b16 motor?
in either case im thinking i will need a conversion harness whether it is an obd2a->0bd1 harness or obd2a-> obd2b because i dont believe honda made b16s from 96-98 (obda). some insight would be greatly appreciated!

i really dont understand why people are switching over all of the dizzy, injectors etc etc when the convert to obd1. cant u just use an obd 1 motor, obd2 car harness, obd2a-obd1 coversion harness and then an obd1 ecu? maybe that was the best way to phrase the question! lol

yes you can, some sensors might need to be put from your obd2 motor(because of the plug type), other than that you'll be ok.

The plugs on the OBD I dizzy are different than the ones on your current harness, so you will have to rapace the OBDII dizzy plugs on your harness with the plugs from an OBD I harness.

the easiest thing to do would be to get a harness from a 99-00 SI and then run your vtec and your knock sensor in from the shoulder harness. much cleaner also
