Starter help???please

ok this is wat happen my car was runnin fine until i got out of coffee shop n try to start my car. The only sound that it made was click once n thats it. My power is all there n i try to jump the car n it wouldnt crank i had to push jump start the car den it was run...is this a starter problem
there's a trick to seeing if its your starter.
there's 2 wires going to your starter.
#1 ignition wire
#2 positive cable from your battery
what you do is take off the ignition wire, and take a spare piece of wire and connect it to where the ignition wire would go on the starter. take the other end of that spare wire and touch the positive cable connected to the starter. they're right next to eachother. that'll give power to the starter to crank. if it doesn't, then you have a faulty starter, if it does then your ignition is bad. if you have a alarm then that might be the cause of it. you might have a ignition kill on the alarm and it probably took a ****, good luck.
btw: sparks might fly, wear eye protection
