Default My heat slider wont go all the way right... 92-95 hatch

Hey guys. You know the sliding piece that you push around to adjust for heat and cold? It seems to be stuck when I try to put the heat all the way up. Anyone ever seen this problem or have a solution?

what i do is wiggle it back and fourth and then it just overcomes the part where it gets stuck and it goes all the way. Try that.

You propably have the cable bound up somewhere, otherwise its just rubbing on the inside of the sheeth. id say oil it but theres really no way to do so.

i agree thats its a cable issue....If you have ever taken off the dash before you know it only goes on one way. If you dont wanna get to taking off your coin holder/ashtray you can just disconnect the cable from a small post under your glove box and control the temperature from there. Once you take off the cable move the post forward(towards engine) and backwards(towards rear seat) to control temp. I had to do this after my dash swap because i wasnt paying attention
