I believe its called a 2-stage paint job
Ok guys first thing, SEARCH is down
.....I'm planning on painting my car sometime this year. I'd like to paint it either black or white with a gold pearl over top. I'm trying to go for a golden hue over the base coat. Any opinions would be great. Is there any pictures of what I'm talking about done??? Oh this would be on a daily driver. Thanks guys and gals

what your talking about is a 3 stage paint job
base= first stage
gold pearl= second stage
clear= third stage
or you could mix the gold in with the base coat and save some cash

i think it whould look nice if you went with totally straght no metalic no pearl no other color other than black base coat
then a little gold metal flake second coat
then a gold pearl mixed with the clear coat
that whould look badass
talk to your painter, he should be able to make up a couple different colors for you
any good painter will at least
have the painter spray a couple samples diffrent variations of what your looking for

Thanks for all your help. Yeah I still have to locate a good one here in WA got a couple but would mind a few more reccomendations from other WA drivers
it takes about a quart paint to make enough useable material, you will also need sevral other products, unless your familiar with mixing automotive paint and sprainy cars, i whould highly recomend you dont attempt to paint your own car
you need to correctly mix the paint, if you dont the paint is ruined and youl need to buy all new paint and supplies

Oh i'd take the time to learn how to do it right, just thinking if its worth it to learn and have another car modding skill or just pay someone.
