Ok here are a few pics of my civic in its current state.i just finished my putting it together and getting it running and it only took me half a day total of working on it. manifold took about a 2 weeks of downtime for welding mainly because bigger jobs were ahead of me but only 3.5 hours of work on it total he said. vac log was made of pvc 1in. x 5in.brass fittings are homedepot plumbing and spa brass fittings.pics are extra large so hey i tried to get good ones. im useing crome for engine managment. tuned by the creator of crome himself man that guy is awesome! only took moments to get my car running in great condition. crome is great with itb's too and this proves it. besides that the cars basically stock besides a few doodads here and there. all comments & questions are welcome.enjoy!

iacv plate and fitting just similar to rice4life's

velocity stakes and piece cut from 954 airbox so it wouldn't be as wobbly as it was w/o it.(highly recommended to cut this piece out or make a gasket so it butts directly to throttles so theres no gap)





heres a not so big problem to look out for diy'ers sohc radiator fluid lines run really close to the runners ask when welding try to get them as far as possible away from it ,bend it , or just get it pressed out and replace it with an angled piece, this was easiest for me at the time.

kinda hard to get a good shot while installed but my camera was home that day.

Please rezise the pics so it can be appreciated. I will be doing the same thing very soon so I want to see how it looks. Also, add some washers on the fuel rail for the correct spacing.

BTW, can I get that bin file? or know where I can find it?

 

in forgot how big the pics were before posting the'll be resized soon and thesepics were taken the moment i got it running there are some there now and all those plastic fittings on the fuel line have also been replaced with brass couplers, the iacv now has a plate with fittings too.

 

i need some shorter Vstacks so if any body has some let me know asap. thx

 

what did you do with the IACV?..im saying, no cold idle in NJ!
who fabbed the ITB setup?
Where the stacks join the flange, is that rubber coupling?
Is there a big stepped gap inbetween the horns and flange, where the rubber couplings are?

This bothers me if it is, since we strive so hard to have a straight and bump-free intake tract with such techniques as porting, blending, and using mandrel bends for intakes...

Big ups on having a running ITB setup on a d and having a jers sohc.

 

the forth pic shows the iacv its hooked up and functioning properly. cold starts are relativley close to stock.i made a plate out of steel and painted it when i was done(it was not so stainless steel )i lined the plate up to the manifold where the iacv went and measured it from there and cut out the holes.
i had my welder at MTK Custom Fabrications in linden,nj cut the manifold and weld the runners for me. yeah there rubber couplings that are soon to be replaced be black silicon couplings i've ordered.
on the velocity stack, there is no gap, but where the runners and the throttles met the aluminum pipeing used was made round on one side and oval shaped on the other side to match the manifold flange. i wish i had a pic to show u but there pretty much butted together.
but as for now i reaserching a cam that fits in my budget.

THERE SHOULD BE FINE FOR A B SERIES RICE4LIFE AND MANY OTHERS HAVE NO PROBLEMS. AND THE TB'S ARE 44MM FROM WHAT II'VE HEARD I REALLY HAVEN'T MEASURED YET.

Why is the fuel rail backwards?? I am very interested in an ITB setup for my B18c1.

Can someone tell me what is connected on the left side of the vacum canister?
Why do you need vacum canister at all? What if you connect all 4 vacum lines from runnes to a small distributor? Why is so much space needed in vacum canister?

 

i have the throttle bodies off of a cbr 600rr and the fuel rail is slightly diffrent. I cant seem to figure out how you hooked up the fuel pressure regulator onto the fuel rail. can you post a closer pic of the FPR? thanks.

Stacks from either a Weber 48 IDF or a 45 IDF carb (I can't remember which) fit the inlet nicely and can easily be TIG'ed onto the throttle bodies and port matched.

 

HERES A PIC OF IT WHEN IT WAS TAKEN OFF DURRING THE D15B SWAP. FPR IS HOOKED UP TO (stupid capslock) runners 1&4 after the throttle plate, using the stock cbr locations.
