surging idle, Car wont rev, New Built SOHC Turbo, Whats the problem!!??!!
Whats up guys, I finally got everything inline and got the car started a few days ago. Everything is golden except for a few gremlins im having. Upon start of the car it idles to 1100 or so and surges back and forth to 1300ish, I have the crower stage 2 SOHC turbo cam, so im not exactly sure what the idle is suppose to be. any ways When I go to rev the motor not only does it not accelerate but it smooths the idle out to maybe 1200r's and stays there. no increase of Acceleration at all, I have done all I know now im moving to you guys.
heres a lil list of food for thought. Theres no o2 sensor in the down pipe due to the fact that its custom made. I plan on gettin a bung welded in for it when I drive the car up town to get my exahsut hung. The ECU is a P28 with a "skunk2" Program socketed in. ( I think this is fine for an intiall start up. (I also have another chip burnt for my 550s and what not). I have a 3 bar map sensor installed as well. I have it hooked up like the hondata page says so. Then I have a Vac line going from the nipple on the 3 bar to the nipple on the t/b then T'd off into my Vac mani.
Im not 100% sure thats how thats suppose to go. hmmm what else would cause my problems? Please help if your North FL local Id love some hands on!!

Need more info. Could just be that its the cam and your "skunk2" program is the cause.
Is all you did recently was the cam? I say try your stock cam, if you still have this problem then come back to us for more answers, if you put the stock cam back in and nothing happens, everythings fine, then its the cam and needs to be tuned (cam gear).
Maybe im totally off, whats the rest of your set up? Get a real management source, like a VAFC, Hondata, Uberdata, AEM EMS, anything.

I am running ubberdata, Im just using that skunk2 burn for the intial start up, This is a fully built motor from scratch with no stock parts its a purpose built go fast car. the car has never ran till just the other day and the motor has not seen 1300 or more RPM's

What are the condition of the TB and intake mani? It may be the IACV or FITV possibly. I would swap the stock cam back in first just to make sure you aren't wasting time or money on replacing ****. Good luck.
hmm.... whats the rest of your set up? Have you tried driving it or you just did a start up test? Could verywell be the chip, i dont like "preprogramed" chips, like the mugen chip, skunk2 chip and **** like that cause its not always for your set up. And correct me if im wrong but isnt skunk2 chip for all motor?

I'm almost 100% sure you are correct about the Skunk2 chip set. Remember the general rule of thumb: No matter what you think it is, think of what is the more simple cause, try that first.
