Need Transmission HELP
I just got a 94 GSR last week to replace my 95 GSR 4-Door. Everything mechanically seemed fine. I changed all the fluids. After a week or so I started to see what the car can really do. I've taken well care of my old civic and integra, redlining it all the time. I'm not stupid and miss treat my cars, but my old cars took a beating and begged for more. Well I just over the next few days I started with a few dashes towards redline and after each time I starter to notice a change in the clutch feel, it was getting harder to get into gear. Then finally I start it up and can't get it into any gear. I bled the clutch master cylinder after this happened, I got better pedel pressure but it still won't go into gear, and I replaced the transmission fluid with new honda tranny fluid from the week before. I think the throwout bearing went bad. It will not go into any gear. I have to start it in gear to move it. I can't dissengage the clutch at all. It's just the more I drove it hard the harder it was to get into gear.
To anyone out there I think it should be the throwout bearing? Could it be the pressure plate? Most likely it's the throwout bearing. I've changed out the my old clutches before I just don't have time with 2 jobs and full time school. Does anyone know how much it would be to taking in and have it fixed at most places?
Thanks,
Floyd

any local speedshops would charge about 200 dollars to pull the tranny out. And you mind as well change the clutch and pressure plate while its out. And open the tranny and inspect the gears, I doubt its the gears the trowout bearing is most likely shot.
yep, your throwout bearing's shot. Usually the first signs of throwout bearing problems are transmission noises then if you avoid the noise and just keep driving it, eventually you will not be able to put it in gear. I remember this all too clearly because i've encountered the same problem, then i swapped the tranny.
