This is your transmission:

This is your transmission on boost:

Get the picture? Your transmission won't hold up well. NEHOOO...Yeah, you could run 14's with that kind of HP, figuring that's what the ITR"s run, but again, your car is heavier, and the auto tranny will slow your car down, being long gears and such...

I would first of all swap for a 5-speed. Then buy a Drag or even a good quality used kit. They make better power then a Greddy and are cheaper.

before anyone starts knocking on greddy, they are NOT SLOW KITS.........and no the turbo (Greddy spec 18G) is not small.

you have to understand what the engineers had in mind when they designed the kit (steet legal) meaning MUST PASS even in CA.

so for what the kit is, its a very well designed kit, with a real EMS (emanage) included and injector upgrades, which most others dont offer.

now with a GSR, the greddy kit will make 250+whp at 10psi with the proper DP/Exhaust setup.

on my LS (lower compression 190 to be exact) with 150k miles, I was able to make 230WHP with a 2.5" DP flared to 3" 3" fles, and 3" carsound cat, all the way back through a thermal.

now at 10psi on an LS with no other mods, is 230whp and 220lbs trq slow? compared to what 115whp stock?

oh tuned on hondata s200b with RC 550c injectors by Boosted Hybrid.

again its a good kit, internally gated but still not bad, I would recommend not spending 2500 on it without IC and BOV, but there are a lot of used ones all over for much less.

^ Exactly. Greddy is a very nice kit. I haven't driven an Integra with one, but I installed and drove a 00 Si with the kit and it was great even on the stock boost. Very smooth power band

The Greddy kit is very nice. When I had a 98 Gsr with this kit, I ran a 13.1 with 13" Lenzo and slicks on. By the way, car was untuned running 9 lbs

yeah i love how people automatically think that the Greddy kit is slow... classic NooB answer. but anywho, i would go with the greddy kit if u r just looking for a good daily driven, reliable, smooth powerband kit. and the other thing, dont worry about swapping to a manual... if he has an auto let him work with it!!! jeesus. but, on the other hand, if u r looking for a great drag car than the greddy kit along with an auto wont turn out to be a great time together...just something to think about

*redirects everyone to the egg-xmission post* your tranny will not like shifts while under boost, and with the long gearing you will be under boost for excessive periods of time, combined with the blue box, sounds like a dead and broken combo to me

I like my Greddy kit. Numbers in sig at 10.5 psi. It is a very high quality kit that has minimal problems. The powerband is very broad and the turbo has more than enough umph for 300whp, so don't knock it till you try it. It is a great kit for the street.

just make sure you dont buy one with a toasted turbo, despite seller saying it "has 0 shaftplay" and "spins free like butter"
