Default k24 Ivtec block Piston swap with S2000 or h22a series all have 87mm stock bore sizes....

I HAVE SEARCHED .......
the k24 block has a 87mm bore...
well so does s2000, and also h22a.

so since the head designs are almost all the same, wouldn't that mean that we could introduce a type-s piston (11.0cr) piston instead of the 10.5cr that the TSX gets???

i'm curious to hear imput because these pistons can easily aquired..

something to think about..

what happens if you put an FRM designed piston in a "STEEL" sleeve ??? nothing or would something happen...

because getting a CRV block and dropping some Prelude type-S pistons would be a cheap 11.0cr block upgrade... don't ya think ?

ANYONE???? This thread was never answered... Any info would help guys. Thanks

I'm not sure on the specs of the parts, but the height of the pistons needs to be concidered, as you might need custom length rods to get the pistons where you want 'em in relation to the deck.

the b-series compression height is about 1.180, the h-series is 1.220 and the k20 series is 1.180 in 86 bore, not sure what the k24 is since the stroke is different.

so h vs b wont work.

Since the forged aluminum pistons are coated in iron, nothing would really happen if you put them in a regular block. Everything really goes well with steal, FRM sleeves don't like aluminum
