camber kit?
Anyone ever installed an obx camber kit on a 98 civic? How do you get the (ill call it the "A" arm) from the connector rod(for lack of a better name). Must you get a ball joint seperator, and compressor?
So are you asking how to get the balljoint from your stock upper control arm to the spindle off? If so, some taps from a decent sized hammer should break it loose after a couple of hits.
i beat on the damn thing for an hour, with vaious different objects and nothing, but if i get a joint spereator is it difficult to put back together?
You might ruin the actual balljoint using a seperator. You shouldn't, but you might, and if you don't have a replacement that came with the obx kit, then you'll have to buy another one.
When I got my stock ones off originally, I put small jack between the upper control arm (a-arm) and the rotor and jacked slowly, and it popped right off. If that doesn't work, do that and hammer at it and it should come off. Be careful, because you don't want to damage those parts.
Just a suggestion.

no you do not need those. just take the nut off of the BJ then hit the knuckle with a hammer and it will come out. the separator just tears the boot. now by knuckle i mean the part that the BJ stud goes through. and as for getting them off of the control arm there is a snap ring on one side then just wack it with a hammer. it should come right out.
