searched it and didnt get enough info well my problem is that i bought the car with indiglos and i traded the gauge cluster with my friend for his stock well my gauge cluster only lights up when alarm is triggered lights on and off whit the alarm blaring... but it works fine rpm gauge gas speedo lights for everything brights check engine battery etc.. work i figured maybe something was wrong with the cluster and bought another one but it does the same thing doesnt light up but it does light up when my alarm is triggered it lights on and off so i did a seach on here and came across maybe around 18 threads regarding cluster lighting(archived) and maybe like 2 have somewhat the same problem but dont really come to a solution... the first thing they say is "check fuses" and that was the first thing i did then they say something bout the dimmer switch so i pulled it out and everything seems hooked up the right way... my climate control lights up and dims with the switch do u guys maybe think its got something to do with the alarm?? any info would help... thanxs ppl and sorry if i waste u guys time thanxs though

Let me do some quick research to show you which wire you will have to test and to where. Is the dimmer switch plugged in and functional? Is it turned all the way down? Fuses ok?

 

yes sir everything seems to be plugged in right and fuses are a ok

ok here's a couple of ideas for you


-even with the indiglows you would still have the stock lighting from the cluster..was it working before with that cluster before you traded?..

-are the lights for the tempature controls above your cd player working?....


-check the connection where the alarm taps into your lights as there might be a short at that location

 

will do yes my climate control lights up and it dims with the dimmer as well so everything is in ok condition except for the lighting of my cluster im not so sure if the cluster lit up with the indiglos cause when i would see it the indiglos would light up so i would think my gauge cluster would be one... but the cluster works fine in my friends care i can tell now that the cluster does light up in his car will check that ASAP tommorrow after work though... everybit HELPS guys so thanxs alot for ur time

 

Did those wiring dirgrams and schematics help you out? Let me know if there is any possible way I can be of more assistance.
