Honda diagnostic tester.
Pgm testers(like used at a dealership) cost $2000+. I have seen diagnostic units on jegs or summit that cost about $200. My s2k, as everyone knows, is a salvage project. Can i use this tester in my favor to get codes and/or reset some of these codes?
I'm having problems with ABS, SRS, & a fuel gauge that doesnt read.
Anyone?

Search. You can jump 2 pins on the ecu which will flash the codes using the CEL when you put the key in ACC.
There are some great write-ups out there for this. Also, most places will scan your rig for free.

You can use a generic tester to get codes but I'm not sure if they are capable of erasing codes stored on the ecu. As far as I know, the only way to delete the codes permanently from the ecu requires teh PGM tester that dealers have.
