Default CEL codes

I hate to ask.

I have a cel code. How do I go about finding out the problem?

Ive done the paper clip thing a billion times to my Civic. Is it the same method? If so, where do I stick the paper clip into?

Thanks.

It drives me CRAZY everytime someone reply's with that! (no offense)
I have been searching for the answer to this for a year now and still don't know the answer.

I would also like to know if it is possible to "count" the CEL to find out codes!

Hehehehe... sorry I'm kind embarased but here's something I just found that might help: (taken from S2Ki)

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">u dont have to bring it anywhere to check the cel
you can retrieve the codes yourself
theres a wiring harness when u sit on the driver side by your right knee
towards the back of the radio(easy access)
jump out pin 8 and 5 and see the cel blink
post the codes here and someone will help ya out</TD></TR></TABLE>

I'm trying it tomorrow, it also goes on to say in a later post:

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Maybe something has changed (I don't think so), as far as I know pins 9 and 4 would be the correct pins. Here is an example from an RSX, however this is the same procedure for 02-03 Hondas. http://www.k-series.com/tech_d...D=CEL .</TD></TR></TABLE>

Hope all this helps us both

I dont understand these people who want to pull codes by jumping pins. just go to enay or something and spend the 30 bucks on a scan tool.
