An explanation on Hydrolock? Hit a puddle(depends if your car is lower or its a damn big puddle), waters gets sucked into the intake, then you kiss your motor goodbye while crying on the side of the road.

haha yeah.
a couple years ago the rain came down hard and nonstop, and made the city drain clog up. my car was parked right next to it. the level of the water was so high it seeped into the cabin. i had to get my car out of there but i knew i'd hydrolock if i started the engine. but then i remembered thinking, 'Thank the LORD i have a bypass.' got my **** out of that mess real fast.

Actually, I was asking for an explanation from the original poster as to why CAI's suck; I quoted if he hydrolocked his engine because that was my initial thought.
