I am wondering how hard it is on the tranny when you accidenly grind a gear, not grind into a gear, but just grind one. I've noticed on eg dx hatch, that when going into second, it likes to grind sometimes. Mostly my fault because the clutch must not be pushed in all the way .. But how does this effect the tranny short term wise, say if you did it like 1x a month or so....

 

you could screw the syncro all up and not be able to even get into the gear

 

Well I've only done it twice so, should the tranny still be ok?

yes it should be fine.. dont make it a habit of doing it tho
