So....I think my tranny is done......
Was out crusing with some fellow HT members on Tuesday night and got into a few races and on one race I shifted from third to fourth and it went into gear fine, but when I let out on the clutch and then gave it gas it popped out of gear. Than when I tried to put it back into gear it just grinded and now it will not stay in gear. Debating on if it's the entire 4th gear that is bad or if it is just the synchro......
any suggestions???

it might be something simple like tranny fluid , try that 1st. good way to tell if its synchros is to double clutch it in that gear, if you can double clutch and it goes in fine , chances are the syncros are done. been there done that tooooo many times.

I have cooked 2 trannies </TD></TR></TABLE>
figured this was coming.....this is the same tranny that has been on the car since day one with 64,500 miles on it and it was used during my last turbo setup......maybe now I can get one with lsd

yeah I found out that the price to fix is going to be half of what another one would cost so I figure just get another one and either keep this one and fix it down the road or trade it towards the new one.....
