hydro tranny bseries: how do you know if a S80 is a GSR or LS...... Y80 is gauranteed GSR, but what about S80.... any other markings to indicate it being GSR.. Taking off the casing is NOT an option. This is good info. for many.. THX

 

i had the same problem, had a known ls trans with s80 marking, and a supposed gs-r trans with s80..

 

s80 come out of 96 and up integras. Look at the vin number and you can tell from that.
