Default GSR transmision, S80 or y80???

hey i have a 95 s80 hydro tranny is this from an LS or GSR? which one's which?

there really is no way. dave newman says that the gsr has a nipple type thing by the air vent on the upper part of the trans

sometimes the easist way to know where the tranny came from is to read the VIN# if it is on there.. DC2(DB8)= GSR..DC4(DB7)..LS and so on and so forth..

Then again, both the 1992-1993 LS/RS/GS and GSR transmissions carried the YS1 designation.

Who does really know then? I'd tried the Acura dealership and they were no help at all. They could only go by the vin #. I need to know the difference from the 92-93 GSR tranny from the LS, both have same code besides the gear ratios.

The 94 GSR swap I have sitting in the garage says Y80
