ITR is having trouble starting, please help
Well the problem is intemitten and a pain in my ***! Sometimes when i start the car it wonk kick over so I press the pedal and then it roars to life but when i release it it dies. If i keep the RPM up until i drive for maybe 10-20 seconds it idles fine.
Problem two(might be related) when I am driving at a higher rpm in any gear( above 4500) and floor the gas the car sputters for a second and then begins accelerating.
Where should I start? my guess us to look at the injectors because they are at 100%dutie cycle and might be failing? I didn't have this problem after I had my hondata tuned it was great after that this has devloped recently
any ideas or things to check would be great, im on a p28 ecu with hondata and arent getting any cones but who knows wtf...please help

or...you could search for some advice. but then again, when people post topics with useless thread titles, its somewhat hard to search, isnt it?
I had a starting problem as well. I just turn the key to 'ON' without starting it and let the fuel pump prime the system(let it sit until the beeping stops), then start it up.
As for the sputtering; check the plugs and wires. I had my Spoon wires arcing onto my J's intake which is just fucked but I went back to stock and have had no problems. Good luck!!

I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM....heres the trick......i ran a hondata with a p28 ecu.....the problem is the the connecter near the fuel filter..I FORGOT THE NAME..sorry ....just unplug it and presto the problem is gone...the p28 doesn't search for that thing..i think its the ECV plug
sorry i dont have the R anymore, but if u take a pic and post it..i can recognize it asap...but the problem will go away
good luck

if you have hondata, was your startup enrichment, idle, or coolant temp tables changed? i had a similar problem when I was running my AEM EMSand it took awhile to dial that in. once the car warmed up it idled fine if I resarted it. Im not sure if these parameters are available with the hondata S100 but i would assume they are. otherwise it could be EVAP oe a vacuum problem.
