Default help!, I think my transmission went out??

Please help, this is probably newbie question.
I tried to peel out in my 95 honda civic (with greddy turbo kit) I put it in first then revved the engine up and released the clutch. Then i heard a loud thud from the engine, the car would not move. The rpm would rise as well as the speedometer, but the car won't move. I could start the car and put it gear without holding down the clutch. Is my transmission gone? the tranny has about 182,475 miles on it, and i had just replaced the clutch about 5 months ago. Any body know whats wrong?. If it is my tranny, what would be the estimated price for a new or used one? any help is appreciated, thanks.

well depending on engine in your car you can get a tranny for $300

might be your pressure plate but it definately sounds like its in the tranny

its a d16z, $300 for a used tranny is not that bad.
what are the symptoms if the pressure plate is messed up?
and also, if the tranny goes out will it cause damage to any other parts of the engine? like the pistons or valves? again these questions might sound stupid but i am a newbie.
thanks for your help.

I'd say it's your tanny only because of the mileage. If it were a newer not beaten on tranny I'd say it was the clutch. Because you could have easily tore the clutch up in 5 months especially if you go around burning out and just beating on it. A spring could have just broken off or something.

But pull the trans off and see what the trbolem is...if the clutch looks ok then its the trans.

If you were overrevving the **** out of it, you shouldn't have any engine damage.
