me and my fren had a large arguement / discussion that there isnt/there is a such thing as a h23 vtec (st8 from the factory). any input on this guys? if you have a recent SCC or super street mag...check out the ard motorsports advertisment. im probly gonna drive down to ard in the morning with the ad in my hand and ask them since they are about 5 miles from my house.....but damn this is trippin me out. i hate when i know im rite but then someone else trys to prove me wrong. im pretty sure its a typo and that they mean a jdm h22 with 220 hp. but if im wrong...then oh well.

 

no, definetly not straight from the factory, unless there's some weird new engine out there, like you said, there is a SMALL chance I could be wrong, but I'd back you up on this, the only vtec h23 is hybrid engines, and not from the factory at all

doesnt a new accord type-r have a 2.3L vtec in it?? im not an accord kind of guy but im pretty sure i heard that somewhere.

 

You can VTEC an h23a yourself if that helps at all...

 

Yes there is a h23vtec from the factory in japan. It is in the newer accord wagons. But it is not 220hp. only 200.

 

its probably an H23 with H22 VTEC head and stuff.
as for the accord typeR, i think it comes with H22. at least the old ones did...
someone correct me if i'm wrong.

 

its a factory motor from honda in japan accord wagon H23A VTEC.. hopefully i can get katman to take some pics to post..we have 2 @ the shop
