H23A VTEC????
Howdy, I'm new to this board, but not to hondas, and I was wondering what you guys know about the h23a vtec...all i know is that they came in newer accord wagons (6th gen i think) and have a little more power than the H22. I would like to get as much info on this motor as i can so any would help.

I don't think there ever was an H23 VTEC, you're getting mixed up with the accord F series engines. I know that people put H22A VTEC heads on H23 Blocks, but I've never heard of a stock H23 VTEC.

There is an h23 vtec, as i said before I'm 99% sure they came in jdm 6th gen accord wagons, trust me I'm not mixing it up with the f-series. Also on osaka motors
( http://www.osakajdmmotors.com/engines/index.html ) they say they have them but there is no pics or specs..might call them tomarrow and see what that is all about. Thanks anywyas though.

Yes it was in an Accord Wagon. It does not make more power than an H22a...just some more torque. 200ps, 163 tq...
What do you want to know? It's Auto and you can't use the ecu, for one.

yeah, not much difference, you can alway just frankenstein it. h23 block w/ h22 head and turbo. a guy i know named Phat did it about 3 years ago and had it in his street driven crx. that was when people said a lot couldn't be done like h series crx, and h23/vtec, let alone that and a huge t4 turbo. he proved them wrong, he's having the motor built rightnow and caging his car. shooting for 9's.
