Hey Bob Norwood, Kenny McNeil says hi.
You see the big chrome thing in the back? That's a "v-drive", just like the one that everyone is worried about coming apart and killing someone! lol
If I remember correctly Kenny told me that Bob was running big block Chevys in the 308s at Bonneville. Kenny had a class record with his Porsche 930. He was doing 9sec 1/4mi in it before Bello was out of his 5th grade Z Cavarichi phase.
Yeah, that car has a twin turbo big block in it! I think it went like 283mph or so. There was talk about getting it ready to take out there again.
The v-drive is legal, we just have to build a bomb shelter around it! lol

A "v-drive" changes the direction of power. It's going on inside most transmissions, it's just that this is an external piece. It's not really a V-drive because it transfers power 180 degrees back, not at an angle, it's really just a transfer case. They've aquired the name v-drive on here for whatever reason.
Art, not sure who did the motor for that car, but Bob said he has used Lozano in the past.

I remember reading about that car like 15 years ago in a car mag. They started to make a 200+mph run and something with the motor acted up, and back in the pits they found a chunk missing from the tire

Thanks for the info on that.
I am sure if that thing let loose it could do some serious damage.
