power to the fuel pump is the yellow wire with green stripe aned two silver dots...well atleast in my ek..im sure the color code is the same!

Why does anyone use that wire? Its fused at 7.5A - why not instead use the Grn/Yel wire that the ECU uses to ground the Main Relay contacts that powers the fuel pump??

Lot less current draw on that wire...

No, you don't need a resistor. All you're doing is breaking a circuit open....if the ECU can't signal to the Main Relay to turn the fuel pump on...no fuel.

Owning a business doesnt mean you need to know how to wire a simple switch. Thats why businesses hire employees. And to be real here he owns alot more than just a Machine Shop. Owning 3 entirely different companies leaves you with no time for petty stuff like learning what color wire is for the fuel pump. So he comes on here for technical support. Atleast hes doing the work himself and not making one of his employees do it for him...
