So I got into accident two weeks ago, rear-ended somebody and now I am trying to fix it myself. The hood, bumpers, radiator and support, headlamp and both fenders are damaged. I try to take everything out last night and notice that the rad support is actually spot welded to the fender. Such a let down because I thought everything would be bolt-on :-(

Now I need your advise on how to fix it, in an affordable way, I am thinking to replace the radiator to get the car drivable and perhaps send it to the bodyshop just to get the rad support replaced? Also I am planing to order the aftermarket OEM style fenders and hood, send them to the paint shop and install them myself. Do you see any problem with it?

Dont listen to him. What u have there is an easy fix. Theres no frame damage. Only thing I doubt u would be able to do is remove the old radiator support and weld on the new one, but that shouldnt cost much. I had the same work done plus straighten the frame and cut and weld a new piece of metal for under $600 so it shouldnt even cost u half that (I'm assuming)

 

I would say hit up a junk yard for parts.......good luck wit that

 

Yeah, that not too bad man.

My car was MUCH MUCH worse when I found it. But it was worth the work.
Do as much work yourself as possible. I did, and I learned alot about body/frame work.

I've seen a lot worse including my own. Mine was about a 40mph hit that deployed the air bag and shifted the frame to the left about 2 inches. That shouldn't cost more than $1,500 to repair and paint.

thats not bad take it to a shop if you got the radiator support they should only charge 200-250 or you can do it your self if you know how to spot weld taking it off is simple just measureing to make sure its in the right place is harder cause if you mess up measureing the front end wont line up right

 

thanks for the heads up guys... now i need to find out those after-OEM fenders and hood.. I had bad experience with bumper replica before that doesn't line up with the fender properly. but i can't afford real honda parts

 

After market products are fine. Even those who CAN afford buying OEM don't because they can't warrant the purchase. They're wear and tear items so there really isn't a need for higher priced OEM pieces.

 

yeah aftermarket is good just keep adjusting until you get it lined up like oem gaps!
