Emergency brake light won't shut off

Hi Everyone. This is a 1998 Honda Accord LX 4 cly. Driving home last pm. the emergency brake parking suddenly came on. This has not happened before. I didn't notice any drag on the wheels or loss of power or braking problems. The
car has about 65k miles. I checked all the fluids...all ok. Pulled all the wheels and
brakes are fine including all working parts of the emergency brake...no hang up
or frozen or rusted parts. This car doesn't have ABS. I also checked all the fuses
and all seem to be fine. I have read that there is an adjustment in the center
console but I haven't checked that yet. Any other suggestions??? Thanks for all
yor help and assistance.

maybe you spilled some soda on the console and it leaked down to switch witch causing it to stick. theres a tune for ya

You sure it's the E-brake light and not the brake light itself?

?? there's no brake light in the dash..

There is a "Brake" and a "Brake Lamp" light in the dash. The "Brake Lamp" is for a tail light or brake light being out. The "Brake" light would be for the E-brake or the brake fluid. If teh e-brakeis off you may want to check the cap. They are known to short out o nt he 98-99 accord and cause the light ot come on.
